A Healing and Comfortable Space in Berkeley
In the heart of Berkeley, therapy can take place in a way that feels natural, grounded, and flexible. Near Strawberry Creek Park, we have the option to meet outdoors on a blanket or bench among the trees, walk together through the park, or gather inside the building among books in a quieter, cozy setting. My Berkeley practice is designed to offer a comfortable and safe space that meets you where you are, both emotionally and physically.
For some clients, being outdoors helps conversations flow more easily. The movement of walking, the sound of the creek, and the presence of trees can create a sense of calm and openness. Others prefer sitting on a bench or blanket, allowing space to pause and reflect. If you’re more comfortable indoors, we can meet inside among books, creating a warm, grounded environment that feels private and supportive. Together, we choose the setting that works best for you.
What Therapy Looks Like
I take a strengths-based, trauma-informed, feminist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming approach. That means we focus on what you already bring to the table while exploring patterns that may be shaping your life, including unconscious influences, relational dynamics, and the impact of social and political systems.
I work within a psychodynamic, relational framework, encouraging depth work that helps you make meaning, find purpose, and build resilience. We explore your experiences together, uncovering insights about yourself, your relationships, and your environment. Depending on your needs, we may also incorporate tools like:
EMDR Therapy – for trauma, anxiety, and emotional healing
Parts Work Therapy – to understand inner conflicts and strengthen self-compassion
Perinatal and Postpartum Support – for pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and early parenthood
Career and Life Transition Guidance – navigating career changes, identity shifts, and life transitions
Relationship and Intimacy Support – building connection, communication, and understanding
Creative and Somatic Approaches – including art, mindfulness, and CBT strategies
