About Jess
Hi, I'm Jess. I'm an EMDR and Perinatal Certified Therapist with offices in Oakland, Lafayette, and Berkeley, and telehealth across California.
I came to this work because therapy changed my life. After navigating my own birth trauma and pregnancy loss, I know firsthand how transformative it is to find the right support and how much it matters to find someone who actually gets it. That lived experience shapes everything about how I show up for you.
Maybe you've always felt like you don't quite fit. Like you're carrying something heavy but can't fully name it: anxiety, numbness, overwhelm, or a reactivity that catches you off guard. These patterns often have roots in past experiences, in the systems that shaped you, and in the ways your nervous system learned to survive. You're not broken. You're adaptable. And with the right support, those same patterns can shift.
I specialize in anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, and loss, with a particular focus on the perinatal world (prenatal, postpartum, and new parenthood) and people navigating their launching phase: career shifts, identity changes, and the real work of figuring out who you are now.
My approach is warm, flexible, and genuinely collaborative. I draw on EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Parts Work, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and CBT, tailoring support to what you actually need rather than a formula. For some clients, that means weaving in creative and intuitive tools like art, nature, or tarot as a reflective practice, using archetypes and imagery as a mirror for what's already inside you. I believe you already hold the wisdom you need. My job is to help you find it.
I am inspired by creatives, artists, passion projects and people doing the quiet, courageous work of becoming who they actually are, not who they were told to be. What lights you up, what you actually value and what a life that feels true to you looks like — I find those things genuinely interesting, and I'd love to explore it with you.
You can expect gentleness, humor, and grounding here. A real human space where doing real work doesn't have to feel clinical or stiff. Many clients notice a sense of relief within the first few sessions, not because the hard stuff disappears, but because they're no longer carrying it alone.
When I'm not in session, you'll find me printmaking, illustrating, cooking, and hiking California's coastal trails with my family.
